In the spring, Zar Paulo released the first single from their upcoming album Ex_Europa – ‘Telefonperson’. The song was named P3’s ‘Uundgåelige’ and received a 5-star review from Soundvenue for its “refreshing smartphone satire”. They later repeated the success with another P3’s ‘Uundgåelige’ in the form of the fan favorite ‘We Are One’. The release was celebrated with a grand release concert in Aarhus with over 3,000 attendees. Most recently, they have released ‘Paraplyer’, which is the third and final release before the album. 

‘We Are One’ has been a regular part of Zar Paulo’s concerts since the fall tour of 2024 and has become a definite fan favorite long before it became available on streaming. The single marks a new chapter for the Aarhus-based band, which, with highlights such as the release of ‘Telefonperson,’ a performance in the X Factor final, and sold-out concerts across the country, has established itself as one of the most influential names in the Danish music scene right now. In September, they announced their biggest concerts to date at KB Hallen and Aarhus Congress Center, and after both sold out, an additional concert in Aarhus was announced, before the tour was most recently extended with a longer series of concerts in the fall.

In the autumn of 2024, Zar Paulo played sold-out concerts in the country’s four largest cities, with two equally sold-out extra shows in Aarhus and Copenhagen, before returning to festival stages at Tinderbox, Syd For Solen, and NorthSide in the summer of 2025.

Zar Paulo consists of Emil Vammen (vocals), Johan Horsmans (guitar), Tobias Schou (drums), Martin Kleberg (keyboard), and Anton Breinbjerg (bass). They have known each other since boarding school, where they found a sense of community in standing out. In April 2023, the band released their debut album ‘Elendig Software’, which received praise from several influential media outlets.
